About Spritely Shelters
I started making Faerie houses as a child in my backyard. In those days my tiny houses were made of sticks, stones, and the appropriately-names Fairy roses that grew wild on our fence.
My interest in crafting, miniatures, and all things Faerie continued throughout adulthood. I graduated from Trenton State College (now the College of New Jersey) with a degree in Early Childhood education and an Art minor. I taught for 34 years and during that time I adopted my daughter Teaghan.
The idea of making Faerie houses was reawakened when I retired and learned of the Faerie houses of Cathedral Woods on Monhegan Island,Maine, where visitors create homes for the Fae folk along a woodland path. I decided to create some of my own and Spritely Shelters was born. I take such joy in each little dwelling or Fae scene. It's like being a child again in the back yard!
